What I like about the plaids and stripes is that they look so old. Thrift shops are the best place for the fabric, but look for the 100 percent cotton stuff.Susan in N. The more I see of plaids in quilts, especially scrappy quilts, the more I want to try using them. :)

I looked thru the rest of your blog recent posts too, and wow, you do some beautiful needlework! And she would knit by firelight. She had 14 children, and I suppose that the only way to keep everyone in socks was to knit, continually. I also know that she would knit hats and socks for children even poorer than her own.Nineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09888930053826285866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34523404.post-1159639050151417762006-09-30T13:57:00.000-04:002006-09-30T13:57:00.000-04:00Lynn,I do the same thing, I just look for any stri...Lynn,
I do the same thing, I just look for any stripes, plaids, or ginghams in whatever size. I love your blog, just put a link on mine. You have some wonderful fabric in your quilts, I love your work. For some reason, I am getting double spacing when I add links, hopefully I can figure out why.Susan in N.
